Students wear pajamas to school for PJ Day fundraising.
On Thursday, Jan. 21, students and teachers at Vestavia Hills Elementary West showed up at school in their pajamas — and all for a good cause. Since Bids & Bites, the school’s 11th annual live and silent auction fundraiser, is an adults-only event, PJ Day allowed the kids to join in the fun.
Donations given by pajama-clad students and teachers totaled more than $2,500. Together with the funds raised by Bids & Bites, this money will go directly back into West’s classrooms to purchase educational support tools and technology equipment.
