Cancer survivors, including a few VHHS students, parade during the 2017 Relay For Life.
With strong to severe storms expected during the afternoon and evening on Saturday, April 14, Vestavia Hills High School's annual Relay for Life event has been moved up to Friday.
Starting immediately after school at 3:30 p.m., students will set up on the football field and practice field with their event booths.
The Kids Zone will open at 4:30 p.m. and the first musical acts will also begin at that time.
At 5:30 p.m., cancer survivors are invited to the survivor dinner on the senior patio, and the survivor lap around the track and opening ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m.
Events will continue throughout the evening before the Luminary ceremony at 9:30 and the presentation of the final fundraising amount at 11 p.m.
