Fourth-graders held up signs at morning and afternoon carpool to let the VHEC community know to participate to raise money for their school. Julie King and Adrienne Thames, volunteer moms, helped to coordinate the event with Mr. Eric Witherington and the teachers.
All year, Vestavia Hills Elementary Central, better known as "Central," is celebrating a theme of "Celebrate Central.” It is our last year as a school and we want these students to have a fantastic year full of happy memories and lots of learning!
To help us out in the fundraising department, fifth-grade parent Eric Witherington held a Spirit Night for VHEC at his restaurant, Moe's Original Bar B Que on Rocky Ridge Road. Eric's son, Garrett, is in Mr. Stansell's class, and teachers Mr. Stansell, Mrs. Adams, Ms. Garcia and Mrs. Price ate dinner at Moe's Original Bar B Que with their students that night, as their 4th and 5th grade students advertised and tried to entice customers to dine there for VHEC.
