Smylie Kaufman
Vestavia Hills native and LSU graduate Smylie Kaufman will play the weekend at The Masters, one of the most revered tournaments on the PGA Tour.
Kaufman is competing in his first Masters, held at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., and shot a 1-over-par total through the first two rounds (73 on Thursday and 72 on Friday). With the cut line at 6-over, Kaufman wrapped up his round Friday well under that number.
He qualified for the tournament thanks to his first career win on the PGA Tour in October at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
