Jack Hatchett’s 45-yard field goal in the third quarter broke a 7-7 tie. Anderson tied the record for most wins by a coach in the state of Alabama.

The Eagles’ Harold Shader’s scored the winning points in overtime, denying Vestavia Hills coach Buddy Anderson of his 310th win. Landon Crowder scored the Rebels’ touchdown on a 2-yard run.

Buddy Anderson got his record-setting 310th win as Landon Crowder scored on two short runs set up by his only two pass completions of the night, long tosses to Sam Harvey and Remington Patterson. The Rebels improved to 2-1, 1-1 in the region.
