On April 13 and 14, the community is invited to package meals through Stop Hunger Now in the Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Shifts are available from 3:30-8 p.m.on Monday and 6:30 a.m. -9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Stop Hunger Now is VHUMC’s Lenten Offering this year. Their goal is to package total 250,000 meals. Each stop hunger meal only costs 29 cents. The family-friendly packing events will provide high protein, vitamin-packed dehydrated meals for children in need of nourishment. These meals will be delivered to schools and orphanages around the world.
