A middle school band room is normally filled with music, noise, and little bit of organized chaos. Today at Pizitz Middle School they added a bake sale and lunchtime cafe to the normal buzz of activity in the band room as they hosted the “Bragg Band Café”
Leah Seng, assistant Band Director at Pizitz said, ”We heard about the fire at Bragg Middle Scholl band room and our students took charge to organized a fundraiser”. She said they lost most of their printed materials including music for the band. They held a bake sale and took it one step further offering a music filled lunchtime experience for their fellow students and parents.
Students could make a donation and eat their lunch in the band room with entertainment provided by the various choirs and bands at the school.
Seng said the students brought in the baked goods and were eager to pitch in and help out fellow band members. At the end of the day they continued the bake sale and reported over $2000 will be donated to the Bragg Middle School band program.
