Library in the Forest
Since opening in 2010, Library in the Forest has had a high volume of patrons. Surplus parking on both sides of Round Hill Road and near residential homes has raised a need for additional parking.
Representatives from the Alabama Standards Committee visited the Library in the Forest on Thursday, March 19.
"Due to the hard work and commitment of the staff, along with continuous assistance and support, the Library in the Forest received Alabama Library Association's highest honor, Gold Medal Library," said Library Director Taneisha Young Tucker.
Official recognition will take place in April at the ALLA Convention.
