Down Syndrome Alabama will host HUDDLE UP for Down Syndrome on Sunday, Aug. 16, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center.
Formerly known as Football Fashions & Fun, the annual event features children and teens with Down syndrome modeling their favorite college football team apparel as the community gears up for football season. Organizers say the fashion show celebrates each participant while promoting confidence, inclusion and acceptance.
Families, friends and supporters are invited to attend and cheer on the participants during an afternoon focused on community and raising awareness for Down Syndrome Alabama's programs and services.
Advance tickets are $10 and increase to $15 at the door. Individuals with Down syndrome and children younger than 3 are admitted free.
