The Vestavia Hills City Council will meet at its regularly scheduled meeting Monday to consider 13 items of business, and hear the first reads of two additional items.
The Council will first consider an ordinance for the treatment of feral cats. The ordinance would allow the city to make possible an agreement with the Greater Birmingham Humane Society for the trapping, sterilization, possible adoption and release of disease-free feral cats. The ordinance would also make the feeding and otherwise abetting of feral cats a finable offense.
The Council will also consider a resolution authorizing an agreement between the City and ALDOT for the construction of sidewalks along Massey Road, Columbiana Road and Montgomery Highway.
Additionally, the Council will appoint a new member to the Board of Education.
