Monday’s regular Vestavia Hills City Council meeting will be a long one, as the council will hear and take action on 25 resolutions and ordinances.
Among the items on the agenda for Monday’s meeting is the council’s official vote on the newest member of the Vestavia Hills Board of Education.
Candidates were interviewed last week to fill the vacancy left by Shera Grant, and the council will formally recognize its appointment as a new business item during Monday’s meeting.
Many of the items on the council’s agenda relate to the Parks and Recreation Department, including the official naming of the Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex and Meadowlawn Park, as well as amendments to the hours of operation at various city parks.
Additionally, the council will hear several annexation requests and take unanimous-consent action on an agreement on the Wald Park master plan.
