Members of the Vestavia Hills City Council prepare for a special-called meeting on Oct. 29, in which they approved two alcohol licenses.
At a special-called meeting of the Vestavia Hills City Council, the council approved alcohol licenses for two restaurants.
Slice Stone Pizza and Brew plans to open on Monday, Nov. 5 at 3104 Timberlake Drive, and the council unanimously approved their alcohol license after restaurant executive Jason Bajalieh told the council his restaurant would check every patron’s ID, regardless of age, before serving them alcohol.
Wintzell’s Oyster House, open and located in the 3144 Cahaba Village, also had their license unanimously approved by the council. Restaurant executive Frank Hall said the restaurant asks for ID from anyone under 40, and in his time at Wintzell’s, they have had zero infractions for underage drinking.
No other action was taken at the meeting.
