The city of Vestavia Hills is currently gathering citizen input through an online survey to develop a hazard mitigation plan that will enable first responders to continue to receive FEMA funding. State and local governments are required to develop a hazard mitigation plan as a condition for receiving certain types of non-emergency disaster assistance.
