Vestavia Hills Police
Vestavia Hills Police Department was notified of a suspicious package Tuesday, Sept. 22 around 7:50 p.m. The package was in the payment dropbox of Birmingham Dance Theater, which is located at 100 Old Towne Road near Vestavia Bowl.
Police responded, secured the area, and the building was evacuated. Hoover Bomb Squad was called to the scene and declared the package was safe.
The package's contents are being examined. If a suspect is developed from the ongoing investigation, charges will be filed.
