Rebels travel to Oak Mountain for the Class 7A, Region 3 opener

Vestavia Hills travels to Oak Mountain for the Class 7A, Region 3 opener for both schools. All eyes will be on Rebels legendary coach Buddy Anderson as his team tries to get him career win No. 310 to set the record for career wins by a coach in Alabama. The sixth-ranked Rebs (1-0) beat Homewood last week. Oak Mountain had a road win over Hillcrest of Tuscaloosa. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Friday.
