Vestavia Hills beats Thompson in girls soccer playoffs

The Vestavia Hills Lady Rebels beat Thompson 4-1 Tuesday night at Vestavia to advance in the Class 7A AHSAA state soccer playoffs.

The Lady Rebs (17-3-3) will meet Oak Mountain, which beat Mountain Brook 4-0, in round two.

Thompson's season ends at 16-4-3.
