Same song, second verse.

Vestavia Hills High once again used a balanced attack and suffocating defense to dominate its opponent. Sept. 6, the Rebels scored a thoroughly convincing 24-3 win over Hewitt Trussville.

Both the offense and defense outperformed the Hewitt Trussville Huskies. Dalton Campbell returned a fumble for a touchdown, and a pick-six by Daniel Burton helped run up the score.

The Rebels completely stifled the Huskies' ground game, allowing only 35 net yards on 28 carries.

Offensively, Jordon Johnson scored a touchdown and ran for 55 yards on only seven carries. Christian Palmer led all Rebel carriers with 60 yards on 12 runs, and Joseph James added 35 yards on six rushes.

Jack Hatchett added an 18-yard field goal and an extra point to give the Rebels their second blow out win in as many weeks.

Next week, the Rebels hit the road for the second time in three weeks, as they head across town to clash with the Huffman Vikings.
