Rebel's Johnson named Player of the Week

Vestavia Hills Rebels running back Jordan Johnson has been named Player of the Week by The Vestavia Voice.  Johnson scored three touchdowns in the Rebels' 56-14 win over Carver.

Led by Johnson's scores, the Rebels quickly removed any doubt about the game's ultimate outcome.  Johnson continued his outstanding 2013 season with 88 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries.  He added an 82-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the third quarter.

The Rebels (6-1) face the Shades Valley Mounties in a clash between two of the state's most powerful offensive teams.
