Vestavia Hills Rebels running back Jordan Johnson is the Player of the Week, as named by the Vestavia Voice.

Johnson was honored by the Voice, Vestavia’s newspaper, for his performance in Vestavia’s convincing win over previously undefeated Gardendale.

Johnson led the way with an 80-yard touchdown sprint, and totaled 129 yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries. Once again, the Vestavia running game was unstoppable, with Rebels running backs averaging over six yards per carry.

This week, the Rebels travel to the Hoover Met to take on the state’s number one team, arch rival Hoover High School.
