The Birmingham Hammers, the Magic City's soccer club based in Vestavia Hills, have added one more home match to their 2015 schedule for this Saturday night, as the Hammers will host Mississippi’s Blackbird United FC at Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.

This summer marks the first season in franchise history for the Birmingham Hammers. While the original schedule called for five home matches, the Hammers organization jumped on the opportunity to add a home-and-away with Blackbird United FC, since it meant one more game to play in front of the club’s growing base of supporters.

“We are excited to give the fans one more chance to see their hometown team play,” said Hammers President Morgan Copes. “This summer has been an incredible ride so far for the Birmingham soccer community. The US Women’s National Team are world champions, the men are getting started this week in their Gold Cup title defense, and now Birmingham has its own team to support. We look forward to getting the fans out one last time.”

Season passes will be honored at Saturday’s game. For more information on tickets and other Birmingham Hammers news, check out Birminghamhammers.com, or find the Hammers on social media.
