Vestavia Hills Elementary West is preparing for a night under the big top, when its annual fall carnival returns Thursday, Oct. 22.

The carnival, which will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., raises money for instructional material and equipment. By purchasing a $20 wristband - $25 at the event - kids will get to play carnival games, jump in the bounce house and visit a fortune-telling booth as much as they want. Popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, souvenir toys and $6 pre-purchased meals will also be for sale.

There will be an all-day bake sale in front of the school on Oct. 22 with a variety of homemade treats.

West is currently seeking sponsors for its carnival games. To sponsor or purchase tickets, contact Kim Guest (klw3119@aol.com) or Allison Youngblood (allisonau@att.net).
