VHEW teacher wins state art educator award

Jamie Kolb, a teacher at Vestavia Hills Elementary West, won the 2015 Elementary Art Educator of the Year award. Kolb teachers art to kindergarten through third grade classes at West.

The award is a statewide award and was presented by the Alabama Art Education Association at its annual conference. Kolb received the award at the conference, which took place in Fairhope on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17.
