VHHS senior earns art award

Bradley Copeland, a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School, is this year’s recipient of the Vestavia Hills Art Association’s Art Achievement Award. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Ashley Copeland of Vestavia Hills.

Copeland was selected by professional artists and art educators of the Vestavia Hills Art Association’s scholarship committee. Her work was viewed during the Vestavia Hills High School Student Art Show.

The VHAA Art Achievement Award is an annual award of $200 presented on the merits of the student’s apparent artistic talent, academic standing and how the award will be applied. This year the award included an additional $100 gift certificate from Alabama Art Supply and $50 from Forstall Art Center. The award is presented to a graduating senior who is continuing his or her education in the visual arts, art education or a related field.

Copeland will attend Auburn University this fall where she will study interior design and minor in studio arts.
