Cahaba Heights students collect for food pantry

Vestavia Hills Elementary Cahaba Heights has just completed their third annual “Canuary” challenge, which runs the last two weeks of January. Each year they collect canned foods for the Vestavia Hills Methodist Food Pantry. 

The goal is for each grade level to collect at least 100 cans. This year, the first grade surpassed everyone else by collecting 198 cans for the food pantry. The school’s overall collection total was 669 cans.
