VHHS student to participate in Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

Christofer Miller, a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School and a member of the Vestavia Hills High School Band will be participating in the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as a member of the 2015 Macy's Great American Marching Band. 

He will join students from every state in the country as the band celebrates its 10th Anniversary. Miller plays sousaphone and has participated in band activities in Vestavia since sixth grade. Miller said he credits Pizitz Middle School band director Kim Bain, VHHS assistant band director Heather Palmer and band director Jerell Horton for his love of music. He also thanks his tuba instructor, Scott Robertson for helping him prepare his audition for the Great American Band.
