Vestavia resident receives top honors at University of Montevallo

Charlsey Smith was recognized for her academic success at the University of Montevallo.

Smith, a Vestavia Hills resident and University of Montevallo senior studying French, was chosen by her department. She was awarded Senior Elite for her major during the Senior Elite Night on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Senior Elite Night is a UM tradition dating back to the 1930s, and it serves as an occasion to recognize students who show leadership and academic ability through participation in academic and extracurricular activities, citizenship and service to Montevallo.
