Vestavia family hosts annual UAB School of Dentistry Deans Reception

Dr. and Mrs. G. Robin Pruitt Jr., owners of Vestavia Family Dentistry & Facial Aesthetics and Magic City Dentistry in downtown Birmingham, held their fourth annual UAB School of Dentistry Deans Reception on Oct. 4 at their Longleaf Estate in Vestavia Hills for Dr. Michelle Robinson, UAB School of Dentistry’s Interim Dean.  

Guests who were in attendance included School of Dentistry faculty, alumni, dentists and donors, all of whom work in a collaborative effort as partners with the dental school.

"It was a great evening and the attendance, friendship and support toward the School of Dentistry and under the exceptional leadership of Interim Dean Robinson is very much appreciated and does not go unnoticed. The relationships built among the faculty, administration, donors and alumni and all our friends who support in so many ways the vision put forth by Dr. Robinson help make UAB School of Dentistry one of the best dental schools in the country."

Dr. Pruitt's said, “UAB School of Dentistry continues in leading the opportunities and challenges which lay ahead in providing the very best in oral healthcare and training not just in Alabama but throughout the world."

According to the Shanghai Ranking’s 2018 Academic Ranking of World Universities, the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry has been named one of the top 25 dental schools in the world.

“This ranking reflects the commitment of the school’s leadership, faculty and students to advance the knowledge of future dentists and enhance the care provided to patients,” said Dr. Michelle Robinson in a UAB news release. “At UAB, we pride ourselves on being a premier school of dentistry, and we’re proud to be recognized on an international scale.”
