The U.S. Service Academy Information night hosted by Congressman Gary Palmer will take place on Monday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. This event will take place at Vestavia Hills City Hall.

High schoolers around the Birmingham area are encouraged to attend to learn about the nomination process from U.S. Service Academy representatives. These representatives will come from America’s five service academies: U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. They will share the educational and career opportunities that are available at each of these service academies.

There will also be representatives from the Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. The representatives will be there to talk about the path to service, skills and scholarship.

Interested students and parents will also have the opportunity to hear about the congressional nomination process for the service academies.
