Traylor to lead local Colonial Dames lineage society

Barbara Traylor of Vestavia Hills is the new president of the Colonial Dames George Maris Chapter. At its May meeting at the Country Club of Birmingham, the chapter installed new officers for the coming two-year term. 

Nationally the organization numbers 12,000 members who are descendants of early colonists in this country. Members honor the hardships and heroism of those who sought spiritual and economic freedom in the wilderness of this new world.
