The Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest was the place to be on Friday night, Oct. 26, as children in costume came out to see all of the sights the library had to offer at the Spooktacular in the Forest.

On the top floor, to the left when goers walked in, was the carnival room. Filled with every game imaginable, kids took turns playing and meeting the Vestavia Hills Belles.

Right across the hall and down the path of bookshelves was a room where a balloon magician was putting on shows every 15 minutes. Kids stared in amazement as he dazzled them with his tricks. The library had a couple of last-minute booking changes, and the performer changed from mad scientist Doc Adams, to balloon artist Dr. Magical Balloon.

Downstairs, kids could participate in a cake walk and admire the spooky decorations in the library.
