Davidson plays in national tournament

Vestavia Hills native Tait Davidson was chosen to represent Alabama as a USA Softball All-American at the USA All-American Games in Oklahoma City in June. Her team was made up of girls from Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi, and she was one of only eight players selected from Alabama. In Oklahoma City, she competed against the best 12U softball players in the country, representing 10 regions and 47 states. The tournament was held at the USA Hall of Fame Stadium, home of the Women’s College World Series and the home field for the USA National Softball Team. Her team, Region 4 Blue, finished in the top eight in the tournament. Tait is a pitcher and first baseman. She contributed both in the circle and at the plate for her team. She is 13 years old and a seventh-grader at Pizitz Middle School.
