Halloween is still a few days away, but that didn't stop several area churches from inviting the community to a night of fall festival fun.

Shades Mountain Baptist Church hosted its annual Fall Carnival, complete with inflatables, food trucks and Midway style games.

Guests could choose from a variety of food truck options, including Snapper Grabbers and even Chick-fil-A. There were also free snacks provided by the church.

Inside, kids had the opportunity to play classic carnival games such as a cake walk, duck-hunting and pumpkin putting golf.

Across town, Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church held its annual Trunk-or-Treat night, with church members lining up in the parking lot to give out candy and other treats. Many of the trunks were completely tricked out, and the adults had just as much fun as the younger guests.

Other churches also held events, or have them planned for the weekend.

Do you have photos of your costume from Wednesday's festivals, or have one planned for Halloween weekend? Share your photos on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #MagicCityMonsters2016, or email them to sydney@starnespublishing.com for the chance to win one of three great prizes!
