It’s a Christmas tradition in Vestavia Hills to get up early one December morning and enjoy a breakfast with everyone’s favorite jolly old elf before Christmas Day arrives.

The annual Breakfast with Santa Claus will be Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 a.m.

Santa will be in the Dogwood Room of the Civic Center, located at 1975 Merryvale Road, that morning, and event organizer John Henley said he will be joined by the Vestavia Hills Belles and the Vestavia Hills High School Rockettes.

Families can enjoy regular and chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, coffee, orange juice and milk while they meet and take pictures with Santa. Henley said around 300 people typically show up for the event, which is also organized by the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Breakfast with Santa is free to attend.

Santa will make a second appearance in Vestavia Hills the next day at the Liberty Park Christmas Parade. Both events are part of the Holiday in the Hills series, which kicked off with the Christmas tree lighting and is hosted by the chamber and the City of Vestavia Hills.

More information about Holiday in the Hills events is available at vestaviahills.org.
