Vestavia Hills Police Department investigators obtained a warrant in connection to the June 29 robbery at the Cahaba Heights Shell gas station. The felony warrant for robbery first degree was on Birmingham resident Gregory Christopher Standberry, 32, and carries $30,000 bond.

Video from the robbery shows a suspect approach the clerk at the Shell Station. The suspect said "Give me all the money. I have a gun, and I will shoot you" to the store clerk, according to the VHPD. The clerk opened the register, and the suspect took out cash. The clerk was not injured in the incident.

Standberry was arrested by Shelby County Sheriff's Office deputy on June 30 following a robbery at the Lee Branch Walgreens off of Doug Baker Boulevard. The robbery at Walgreens was reported around 7:30 p.m., and deputies were able to identify the car and suspect described by witnesses shortly after. Following a pursuit, Standberry was stopped and placed under arrest.

He was charged with two counts of armed robbery, attempting to elude and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at Shelby County Jail on $501,500 bail.
