The Vestavia Hills Police and Fire Departments announced the offering of a $5,000 reward for any information regarding the fire that occurred on July 30 at the Vestavia Terrace Condominiums.

Information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons involved in the fire may lead to the reward, which is provided by the The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The condiminiums are located at 3038 Massey Road. The fire resulted in substantial damage to the building, which was under construction and was unoccupied at the time of the incident. A thorough scene investigation was conducted by responding agencies and the fire was determined to be deliberate in nature.

The ATF, Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Vestavia Hills Police and Fire Departments are conducting this investigation, which includes evidence processing as well as neighborhood interviews. Anyone with information may submit it through the Alabama Arson Hotline: 800-654-0775 or via the web at firemarshal.alabama.gov
