Vestavia woman arrested, charged with first-degree theft of property

A Vestavia Hills woman was arrested and charged with first-degree theft of property.

Kara Wren Myers was arrested following a joint investigation by the White Collar and Public Corruption Division of the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, Birmingham Division and Vestavia Hills Police Department.

Myers was booked into Jefferson County Jail on April 30 at 1:14 a.m. and released at 8:46 a.m. Her bond was set at $100,000, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Search.

The charges against Myers are a result of thefts againt a condominium association and two athletic organizations, according to a VHPD Facebook post. The investigation is ongoing, according to police, and more charges are possible.
