Vestavia Hills library hosting fundraiser featuring Bobby Horton

The Friends of Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest is sponsoring a library fundraiser this week.

The fundraiser, set for Friday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m., will feature musician Bobby Horton.

Horton is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and music historian. He has performed with the musical-comedy trio Three on a String throughout the United States and Canada for more than 40 years.

Horton has also performed music scores for 16 PBS films by Ken Burns, two films for the A&E network and 21 films for the National Park Service.

Tickets for the event are $35 and include light hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks. These will be served in the library’s grand hall prior to Horton’s performance. Ticket can be purchased at the library and online at vestavialibrary.org.
