Vestavia Hills businesses nominated for 2015 Retailer of the Year Award

Two Vestavia Hills retailers have been nominated for the 2015 Alabama Retailer of the Year. The award honors business that have operated or managed a retail business in Alabama for at least five years. Nominees must return entry information by June 19 to be considered for the award.

The nominees include Paige Gilliland of Newk’s Eatery and Donna Higgins of In the Making (Deep South Fibers).

Finalists will be honored Oct. 6 at the annual Alabama Retail Day luncheon, which will feature Stu Crum, chairman and president of the Bridgestone Retail Operations.

The award is sponsored by the Alabama Retail Association in conjunction the University of Alabama at Birmingham Collat School of Business.
