Vestavia's KultureCity will host the second annual KultureBall on Aug. 14 from 6:30-11 p.m. at the Sheraton Birmingham Grand Ballroom. Tickets are $99 and are on sale now.

KultureBall is an annual event that fosters awareness and raises funds for programs benefiting children and families with autism. The ball will feature entertainment, celebrity appearances, dinner and a live and silent auction. Celebrities attending the event include Tiki Barber, Traci Lynn Johnson, Alimi Ballard and Sho Baraka.

Dr. Michele Kong and her husband Julian Maha founded KultureCity in August of 2013 after their son Abram was diagnosed with autism at age two. Run from the couple's Vestavia Hills home, the organization has now reached hundreds of families across the world and received a 2014 Top-Rated Nonprofit Award. Their goal is to give families the tools they need while also educating the wider community on effects of autism. KultureCity has a variety of ongoing projects and donations are set up so people can choose which project they want to specifically fund. Projects include therapy, art and sensory boxes.
