Thanksgiving Closings
Before settling down for a Thanksgiving feast or football game, make sure you know what will be closed this week, and what will be open.
Closings:
- City of Vestavia Hills municipal offices: Thursday & Friday
- VH Library in the Forest: Wednesday 6 p.m. - Saturday, 9 a.m.
- Parks & Recreation Facilities: 5 p.m. Wednesday - Monday (Regular Hours)
- Vestavia Hills City Schools: Wednesday - Friday
- Jefferson County School System: All Week
- Jefferson County offices: Thursday & Friday
- Alabama Department of Revenue: Thursday & Friday
- Shelby County offices: Thursday & Friday
- United States Post Office: Thursday
- Jefferson County courthouses: Thursday
- Garbage Service: No pick-up Thursday, one-day delay through weekend.
- Publix grocery stores are scheduled to be closed (per a retailer press-release).
