Arrests were made in connection to a June 12 strong-arm robbery at the Walgreen’s on Montgomery Highway, according to a Vestavia Hills Police Department Facebook post.

The suspect, later identified as Theodore M. Henley, 29, requested three cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter and then grabbed them from the clerk’s hands. The clerk hit the counter and injured his knee during the struggle.

Store employees provided VHPD with a vehicle description and the way Henley left, and an officer caught up with him on Highway 31 northbound. The pursuit ended at Sandor Court in Homewood.

Henley was arrested, and VHPD investigators obtained a felony warrant for robbery in the third degree. Henley was transferred to Jefferson County Jail, pending a $10,000 bond.
