Roadwork on Highway 31 to continue

Here’s the road work in Vestavia Hills to keep your eye out for this work week:

- Roadwork on the Highway 31 median that started in May will continue through June 15. Southbound lanes closest to the median between Southwood Road and Canyon Road will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Other area construction will include:

- Starting Monday, June 8 at 9 p.m., guardrail repairs are planned for segments of the I-65 between the Shelby/Chilton County line and the Shelby/Jefferson County line. The repairs mean the inside left lane and outside right lane will be closed at different locations between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Depending on weather conditions, the repairs should be done in four nights, wrapping up on Thursday, June 11.
