The Vestavia Hills Police Department is asking citizens for help finding two suspects in a string of thefts.

The suspects stole items from multiple cars along the 2200 block of Wedgewood Road, which is just off Highway 31.

The thefts occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 28, and a home security system captured images of the suspects, but only one is clearly visible.

Those with information are encouraged to contact VHPD by calling 978-0140, or Sergeant J. Clemons directly by calling 978-0107.

Those wishing to submit an anonymous tip can do so by texting "VHPD" to 274-637 (CRIMES) or by visiting the department's Facebook page.

Lieutenant Brian Gilham encouraged citizens to keep their vehicles locked, as that will often deter crimes of this nature.
