Local businesses honoring veterans

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, several local businesses will honor the women and men who have served our country.

Serendipity Sweets, 2518 Rocky Ridge Road, is offering a free single scoop of ice cream to veterans.

Fancy Goods Variety, 2512 Rocky Ridge Road, will donate a portion of their proceeds to Wounded Warriors. The Wounded Warrior Project serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness or wound, as well as their families. The organization offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans.

Anthony’s Full Service & Express Car Wash, 1009 Vestavia Parkway, will provide free car washes to veterans and current military service personnel under the Grace For Vets Free Wash Program. The event will take place from  7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the Hoover location and 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Vestavia location. Washes will be given rain or shine at both locations.
