At its Monday, Jan. 25 meeting, the Vestavia Hills City Council will consider multiple requests for alcohol licenses, including one for the new Sprouts Farmers Market and Chipotle Mexican Grill on Highway 31. The Circle K Store located at 3935 Crosshaven Drive is also requesting an alcohol license.

Another ordinance, requesting unanimous consent, would abolish Ordinance No. 2627 that established authorization of transportation network companies in the city of Vestavia. Instead, the new ordinance would amend “License and Business Regulations” in Chapter 8 of The Vestavia Hills Code of Ordinances and would establish operating standards and penalties for violations of those standards for transportation network companies.

The council will also consider a resolution to accept a bid for the purchase of new scopes for the Vestavia Hills Police Department, a resolution authorizing an application for an ADECA grant for Patchwork Nature Park and the first reads of a resolution adopting the 2014 Jefferson County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan and an ordinance granting conditional use approval for a sublease.
