Fairfield man in jail on $2 million bond

Fairfield resident Kyre T. Robinson, 21, is being held in Jefferson County Jail on $2 million bond, according to a Vestavia Hills Police Department Facebook post.

VHPD special investigations and tactical units served a narcotics warrant in the 6400 block of Kelco Place in Fairfield on June 12. Heroin, marijuana, money and a firearm were seized on the scene.

Robinson was arrested and charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and drug trafficking.

Special investigations unit investigators obtained warrants on the drug charges. Robinson was transferred to Jefferson County Jail pending bond. The investigation is on-going, and VHPD said more charges will follow.
