Wear your support for the YWCA to prom

Collage Designer Consignment will present PromPalooza on Saturday, March 8 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. All proceeds from the third annual prom gown charity event will go to My Sister’s Closet of the YWCA.

For many years, My Sister’s Closet has given away prom gowns to girls in need. This year, they have partnered with Collage by combining Collage’s annual gown event with MSC’s gown giveaway. While some girls will have vouchers for a free gown, anyone can come buy a prom gown for just $19.95, which coordinates with the radio station 99.5 the Vibe. Hundreds of gowns have been donated to MSC and all the girls will be able to choose from a wide selection of gowns.

On Thursday, March 6 from 6-8:30 p.m., Collage and MSC will host a special preview party to the public with an entry fee of $20, all of which goes to MSC. For their $20, patrons will get first pick on the gowns, swag bags (for the first 100 patrons) and giveaways from surrounding businesses. Salons will be on site to demonstrate hair and makeup styles for prom. Saturday, March 8 is all about the gown. Collage will have the outside area roped for line formation and local business will again offer giveaways.

Collage Designer Consignment is located at the Vestavia City Center. For more information, visit ShopCollage.com or facebook.com/PromPaloozaVCC. Collage Owner Tracy True Dismukes can be contacted at tracy@shopcollage.com.
