City celebrates Veterans Day

The City of Vestavia Hills celebrated Veterans Day on Nov. 8 at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church.

The event included keynote speaker Major Gen. Paulette Risher (retired), as well as performances from the Vestavia Hills High School Honor Choir, the VHHS Band Brass Ensemble and the Birmingham Harmony Belles.

Mayor Ashley Curry and Al Wood, regional director of Still Serving Veterans, also spoke at the assembly.
