As Vestavia Hills welcomes the spring season and many residents begin preparations to celebrate Easter, the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce is hosting an egg hunt for kids this Saturday.

The event will take place at 9 a.m. at City Hall, and children ages third grade and younger are invited to hunt for eggs filled with candy and small prizes.

Children will be divided into two areas based on age to make sure younger participants aren't bumped around by older kids.

Those Pre-K and younger will be on the upper lawn between City Hall and the police department, and those kindergarten through third grade will be on the lower, front lawn.

Additionally, there will be allergy-friendly eggs on the levels of the amphitheater for those with concerns about nut products.

There will be four gold prize eggs that will contain a $25 gift certificate to Bruster's Real Ice Cream.
