Local mother to present at parenting workshop

The Homewood Public Library will host a parenting workshop on March 17 about adolescent behavior.

The presenters for the program are Beverly Mims, mother of Vestavia Hills High School graduate Baker Mims, and Angela Camp, National Coordinator of Adolescent Marketing for Bradford Health Services.

Baker Mims passed away in 2013 after a heroin overdose at his apartment in Tuscaloosa. His mother and Camp will hold a 'real talk' about parenting, alcohol and drug and making a positive impact on teens' lives.

Parenting Through the Teen Years will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. To register, visit goo.gl/c7hQqg.
